Adriana Hess grew up in the wild streets of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her mother tried to tame her wild side by signing her up for ballet at the tender age of six. Unfortunately, she was dancing to her own genre and did not find her true calling till she joined her first jazz class when she was 14. Adriana moved from the tropical country to balmy Halifax to pursue her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Psychology in January 1999. It only took her four years to discover hip hop dance classes at Halifax Dance. Since then, she has expanded her dance repertoire to include modern, (actual structured) ballet, pole dancing, acro-yoga, and more recently, aerial dance and hand-balancing. Adriana has performed in several pole dance performances and teaches level 1 and level 2 pole dance in a studio in Halifax.
