Christine Christian (née Ellis) was born in Toronto, raised in Malta and has always been passionate about music and theatre. Being a singer, performing in various musical and theatrical productions, she added another level of performance as she started attending modern dance classes at the age of 13. While living in Malta, she was heavily involved in musical theater aspiring to be in a hit Broadway musical. After taking a few years off dancing, she moved to Halifax at the age of nineteen and obtained a B.Sc and a M.Sc, during which time she joined Halifax Dance actively pursuing jazz and ballet in addition to modern dance. Already a Master of Science she strives to be a Master of Dance! This is her fourth year as a dancer and her first year as a choreographer with TSDC. She enthusiastically looks forward to many more successful years with the co-operative.
