Long ago a child was born, toe tapping and moving relentlessly into the world. Her parents, uncertain what to make of this vibrant child, sought the council of the wise women of Halifax Dance. Recognizing her aptitude for dance, the women set Cléo Burke to study and train in their ways, learning their secrets of movement, strength, connection, and expression. Seeing further promise in the child, she passed through their  ITP program and joined with the Young Company, in the hopes she would surrender herself to a life of dance. Since that time she has continued her training from one coast of the country to the other, seizing every opportunity she can to bust a move and impart the joy and mysteries of motion she has uncovered, and inspire, protect and defend those less musically fortunate from possible evil forces.
