At a young age, Corinne Hartlen learned how to juggle activities in her life, playing competitive soccer and dancing. Later, she realized her love for track and field and even attempted to play girls’ hockey for a year with Halifax West High School. She was always active doing many other things and loved them all just as much. Dance and competitive soccer were always the most involved, as well as track for two months a year. Corinne started dancing at the age of three at Maritime Dance Academy training in ballet, tap, jazz and modern. She was always known to have her Dr. Pepper lip gloss and Halls stuffed in her dance sweater whenever they were in ballet class. Her student teaching after school in grade four soon led into being in the studio every Saturday from 9-5. In 2002-2003 she was in Maritime Dance Performance Group. During that year she had the chance to go to New York City to take classes at Broadway Dance Center on a trip with the dance school. In 2004 she decided to take a break from it all, and joined the hip hop group called Freezone for two years . Since Freezone, she’s been keeping busy, moved to Calgary for a while and is working at TD Canada Trust since 2006. She loves to spend time with her friends, and is always looking to do something new and exciting. |
