Originally from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Sarah Douglas is pleased to return to home soil after a long absence and join the forces of thirtySomething. Conducive to her avid interests in contemporary choreography and performance, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in Dance from York University in Toronto, Ontario and is the founder of SoapBox Collective. By day, Sarah disguises herself as the constituency assistant to Andrew Younger MLA; by night, Douglas defends healthy lifestyles as a personal superhero trainer. Battling evil doers, she has recently collaborated with artists such as Susan Lee, Sashar Zarif, Julia Sasso, Carol Anderson, Tracey Norman (Toronto) and Catapult Dance Company (Ireland). While earning her degree, she danced as a senior member of the York Dance Ensemble under the artistic direction of Susan Cash. Recent performances include Lux (2009), Interlock (2009), and The Word Became Flesh (2009). Stay tuned... |
