Melanie
started dancing at the age of 14, taking Penny Evans class at HDA.
Since then Melanie has trained with Andrea Leigh Smith, Kym Butler,
and Mary Lou Martin and traveled to San Francisco and New York on
dance vacations. Two years ago Melanie moved to Toronto and joined
a semi-professional dance company, PushPull. Melanie's stage experience
goes all the way back to high school, we won't say how far back.
Recent performances and choreographic credits include PushPull's
Conversations, Benefit for Guatemala , Fiddler on the Roof (choreographer),
J.L. Ilsley Fashion Show 1999-2004 (choreographer), TAG's Red Riding
in the Hood (choreographer), and of course TSDC Dancers with Day
Jobs. Melanie is now a Registered Massage Therapist, she works at
Be Massage Therapy Rehabilitation and Citadel Physiotherapy. This
training as come in handy as members of Thirty-Something gear up
for the next big show.
