Kitchen-dancing
with her dad, an unhealthy obsession with the movie "Stayin'
Alive," and performing in high-school musicals were formative
experiences for Kate Hayter Reid, a self-confessed dance-junkie.
Dance took a back seat to Real Life while she got her M.A. at Dalhousie
University and then graduated top of her class from the photography/digital
imaging program at NSCC. By day, Kate is a full-time wedding photographer.
By night she has been taking classes in jazz, tap, hip-hop, and
modern dance at Halifax Dance for ten years, and now choreographs
for tSdc and the Maritime Dance Performance Group. Kate would like
to thank all the tSdc members for thier continued fab-tacularness,
and for making the creation process as much fun as the performances.
Holla to her husband Brendan, who makes all this possible.
