Andrea
started dancing at 8, after her younger and braver sister had
tried it out for 2 years. Her love of ballet was immediate and kept
her
busy and out of trouble - more or less. She attended dance summer
schools at Mount Allison University, George Brown College, Ryerson,
and
Banff School of Fine Arts. After finishing high school she left
for the big lights of TO. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine
Arts in Dance Performance from York
University where she studied ballet, modern, and jazz and was thrilled
to have classes with Veronica Tennant, Karen Kain and Robert Derosiers.
Andrea recently rekindled her love affair with dance after taking
a
break to go back to university, work full time and raise three children.
Much to the horror of her pre-teen and teenage children, she is
thrilled
to be "dancing out loud" again, while continuing her life
long habit of
dancing around the living room.
